The Register II takes this to the next level by incorporating the styling and venting features of Giro's highest-end road helmets into a lightweight in-mold helmet. Equipped with a removable visor, an adjustable fit system, and the Mips Evolve Core rotational energy management system, the Register II Mips is a best-in-class recreation helmet.
The Mips Evolve Core system is designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. Giro's goal with this technology is to reduce rotational forces while enhancing fit and comfort by combining the Mips slip plane with the helmet's adjustable fit system. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to the rider in certain impacts.
The in-mold construction of the Register II fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. This fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
The Roc Loc Sport fit system offers easy one-handed operation with a 7cm adjustment range. Its confident clicking feel and sound let riders know that the helmet is adjusting to a comfortable fit. With comfort similar to the Roc Loc 5 and ponytail compatibility, the new Roc Loc Sport fit system brings premium function to sport-level helmets.
The deep internal channeling, combined with the massive 19 vents, forces air to flow over the scalp, providing remarkable cooling power.
The Register II Mips also features a Quick Link removable visor and reflective rear decals. It complies with the US CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmet for Persons Age 5 and Older and the E.U. CE EN1078 standard.
